Introducing the Pesado High Diffusion shower screen. Designed for precision and consistency, eliminating the main issues causing irregular extractions.
Uneven water distribution has always been an issue when trying to achieve consistent extractions, this can be caused by the irregular water flow path through mesh shower screens, smaller surface area coverage and uneven puck infusion. Utilizing 18 channels we can target the exact spots every extraction, resulting in consistent water flow between every shot.
Combined with the unique feature of the outer channels running all the way to the edge of the shower screen, controlling water flow to target the entire puck bed right to the basket edge, giving us complete control over our water diffusion every shot.

The discharge mesh will need to be cleaned more regularly, this will not affect your machine performance but it is recommended as you will find more discharge when using the screen.
Seal Compatibility Notice:
When installing Pesado HD (High Diffusion) Shower Screen, you may notice that your portafilter feels slightly loose. Don’t worry, this is completely normal. The HD screen is specifically designed to work best when paired with the HE (High Extraction) baskets - for the best coffee experience.
If you're not using an HE basket and prefer your portafilter to lock in closer to the 6 o’clock position, here are a few easy solutions:
A. Use a shim behind the group seal.
You can purchase pre-made spacers or DIY your own using household paper materials, adjusting thickness as needed.
B. Try a thicker group seal.
Group seals are available in small size increments (typically 0.5mm or 1mm).
C. Upgrade to a HE Basket

The HD Shower Screen Built for La Marzocco and Synesso The Pesado HD High Diffusion La Marzocco Shower Screen brings the full 18-channel precision diffusion system to La Marzocco and Synesso machine owners. If you're running a Linea Mini, GS3, Linea Classic, Strada, or any other La Marzocco or Synesso model (except KB90-style LM and Modbar), this is the correct HD screen for your group head. The engineering is the same as across the full Pesado HD range: 18 machined channels direct water to the same locations every extraction, with outer channels that run edge-to-edge across the full 58.35mm surface, targeting the entire puck bed rather than leaving the perimeter under-saturated.
What the HD System Fixes Stock mesh shower screens on La Marzocco machines perform well — LM machines are rightly regarded as benchmarks — but the mesh geometry still introduces variability. Water path through a mesh is inherently unpredictable, varying slightly between shots depending on scale buildup, cleaning state, and water pressure fluctuation. The HD screen's channel system eliminates this: the same 18 precise channels deliver water to the same spots in the same pattern every time, creating a repeatable, uniform pre-infusion and extraction across the full puck bed. The 58.35mm diameter extends coverage significantly further than standard shower screens, which typically cover only up to 54mm in diameter, leaving 10–15% of the puck bed unreached.
What's Included, and the GS3/Mini Note The LM HD set includes one 58.35mm shower screen (304 stainless steel, 3mm thick) and one new shower screen screw — a clean, complete installation with nothing else required. GS3 and Mini/Micra owners: the discharge mesh on your machine will need more frequent cleaning when using the HD screen due to increased discharge. This doesn't affect machine performance but is worth building into your maintenance routine. Seal compatibility notice: the HD screen's 3mm thickness may cause the portafilter to lock in slightly looser than usual — this is normal and fully resolves when paired with the Pesado He[%] High Extraction Basket (recommended). If not using an HE basket, a thicker group seal or group head shim will restore the standard lock position.
